Where it
all started

In the early 1990s, Adrian Midgley opened his first and chip shop and has been part of a the local community, serving generations of locals with quality fish and chips since.

Midgley's founder, Adrian Midgley, has worked in the Fish & Chip trade for over 40 years. Starting as a “tattie lad” in his parents shop, preparing chips for the day, Adrian worked his way up to be a partner in the family business.

From 1990 to Present day

After Adrian’s first shop in Leeds, he expanded over the years, obtaining shops in Bramley and Ilkley. He’s also had shops in Headingley, Meanwood and Horsforth.

Adrian is now in his 60s but can still be found working in one of the shops from time to time. Midgley's has grown to be a staple in the local communities and associated with providing the best quality Fish & Chips.

Midgley's have three fish and chip shops across Leeds, the original being Butcher Hill, Bramley, and Ilkley. We're proud to have a team of employ in excess of 60 people who love to make every visit both tasty and friendly.
